Maggie’s Goals
-
Kansas families are feeling squeezed from every direction—rising property taxes, increasing home values, and higher everyday costs are making it harder to stay ahead, even for those doing everything right.
As a real estate professional, Maggie has worked directly with families trying to buy their first home or stay in the one they have. She’s seen how unpredictable property tax increases and rising costs can push people out of their communities or delay their ability to build a future.
Maggie will fight to:
Stabilize and lower property taxes so families can plan and stay in their homes
Increase transparency in how property values are assessed
Support responsible tax policies that don’t shift the burden onto working families
She believes Kansas should be a place where hard work leads to stability—not constant financial pressure.
-
Housing costs are rising faster than wages, and too many Kansans are being priced out of the communities they call home. First-time homebuyers, young families, and seniors on fixed incomes are especially affected.
Through her work in real estate, Maggie has helped families navigate one of the toughest housing markets in recent memory. She’s seen buyers outbid, renters priced out, and too few options for people trying to put down roots.
Maggie will work to:
Expand access to affordable housing for working families and first-time buyers
Encourage smart development that increases supply without sacrificing community character
Support programs that help Kansans stay in their homes and avoid displacement
She believes housing isn’t just a market issue—it’s about stability, opportunity, and building strong communities.n text goes here

Strong public schools are the foundation of strong communities. But too many Kansas classrooms are under-resourced, and special education programs remain underfunded—putting strain on students, families, and teachers.
Maggie believes every child deserves a quality education, no matter their background or needs. She also knows that when schools aren’t fully funded, it affects everything from class sizes to teacher retention to student outcomes.
Maggie will fight to:
Fully fund public schools and meet Kansas’ obligations to students and educators
Ensure special education programs receive the resources they need
Support teachers with the tools and respect they deserve in the classroom
She is committed to making sure Kansas schools prepare every student for success.
-
Kansas seniors have worked their entire lives and deserve to retire with dignity and peace of mind. But rising costs especially for housing, healthcare, and everyday essentials, are putting increasing pressure on those living on fixed incomes.
Maggie is committed to protecting the programs seniors rely on and ensuring they can remain independent and secure in their communities.
Maggie will fight to:
Protect Social Security and ensure long-term stability for future retirees
Lower costs that disproportionately impact seniors, including property taxes and healthcare
Support services that help seniors live safely and independently
She believes we have a responsibility to honor the people who helped build our communities.
